Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone
The Enterprise Zones programme consists of 10 sites across the Leeds City Region. With a contribution of £45m Growth Deal funding, the sites are able to be built on to provide high standard premises for expanding businesses or businesses new to the Leeds City Region.
Phase 1 covers an area of 142 hectares. The Aire Valley Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone benefits from superb transport links being located at Junction 45 of the M1 and benefits from close proximity to Leeds city centre, the main driver of the regional economy, with fast, frequent and high quality bus connections.
Phase 2 of the programme comprises of multiple sites: Gain Lane (Bradford), Parry Lane (Bradford), Staithgate Lane (Bradford), Clifton Business Park (Calderdale), Lindley Moor East (Kirklees), Lindley Moor West (Kirklees), Moor Park Mirfield (Kirklees), South Kirkby Business Park (Wakefield) and Langthwaite Business Park (Wakefield). The second phase aims to promote advanced manufacturing growth, building on the regions strong manufacturing heritage.
Incentives
Companies locating within the Enterprise Zone could benefit from enhanced capital allowance tax relief of plant and machinery. The incentive available depends on which Enterprise Zone site.
