We have undertaken some innovative analysis using data from company websites alongside accounts, which has added to our collective understanding of what influences productivity in companies.

Using these techniques, we added further evidence at company level that activities such as innovation, exporting and good management practices are associated with higher productivity, and we used this to encourage more firms to adopt these activities
