Free business support comes to Cleckheaton

Businesses in Cleckheaton can take advantage of free expert business advice when the next in a series of Pop-up Business Advice Cafes comes to Hub 26 on Thursday 19 July. Hosted by the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Kirklees Council, the events are informal and free to attend.

Businesses will be able to book twenty minute slots on arrival with experts on everything from accountancy and tax to marketing and digital. Practical advice will also be available on a wide range of business topics including access to finance; social media; skills and recruiting an apprentice; data protection and GDPR; export; business planning and developing new products and services.

Roger Marsh OBE, Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP), said:

“This is our first Pop-up Business Advice Cafe in Cleckheaton and I encourage local businesses to take advantage of the wide range of support available all under one roof.”

“We’re bringing these events to locations across Leeds City Region over the next few months. We’ve hosted 17 so far with over 300 businesses attending and accessing advice and support to help them to grow. The positive feedback we receive from businesses time and time again is testament to their value and why it’s worth business owners booking a place.”

Cllr Shabir Pandor, Leader of Kirklees Council said:

“I would encourage any local business to consider taking advantage of this free, local opportunity. Whether you’ve have years of experience, or you are relatively new to business it is always good to get the latest information and advice from experts.”

Lewis Holroyd, a Corporate and Commercial Solicitor at Eaton Smith is one of the experts who will be there on the day offering advice to businesses said:

These events are a great way for local businesses to get advice from local experts who understand the day to day realities of running a business.
