Consultation to shape Leeds City Regions economic future
The LEP is undertaking a review of the Leeds City Region’s Strategic Economic Plan and is seeking views on this from businesses and organisations across the public and voluntary sectors.
The Strategic Economic Plan sets out the vision of the Leeds City Region to transform the economy, and how, by working with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and other key partners, this will be achieved.
Our original Plan, published in March 2014, set out our ambitions for our region and enabled us to secure a £1 billion Growth Deal with Government – the largest deal of any LEP area in the country. We’re now taking stock of the progress we’ve made so far and reflecting on changes in the regional, national and global and policy environment. The key aim of the refresh to the Plan is to ensure Leeds City Region remains relevant and focused on those areas that will make the biggest difference to businesses and people.

The consultation period will end on 26 February 2016. The results will then be reviewed and a further draft produced that will be presented to the LEP Board in April 2016.
