Apprenticeship Levy Support
The Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership has become increasingly aware of funding challenges causing some apprenticeship training providers to turn local businesses away. Because of a lack of non-levy apprenticeship funding, over the next 12 months, many local people wanting to start an apprenticeship can’t. Potentially, there are millions of pounds of unspent levy funding, paid by businesses in Leeds City Region, expiring and returning to central government. We want to change this by supporting levy paying businesses like you, to have influence over how your levy funding is spent, so it benefits your business and your local community.
Our levy paying businesses are key to solving the apprenticeship funding challenges we face today. We're here to help you be part of that solution to ensure our economy continues to grow and apprentices are not being turned away from vital training opportunities.Chair of Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and NP11
The apprenticeship levy
Apprenticeship funding for non-levy paying businesses across Leeds City Region is running out, with some apprenticeship training providers already turning businesses and learners away.
If your business is not spending all of its levy funding, we can help you to transfer up to 25% of your annual levy contribution to fund apprenticeships in other organisations.
This means your levy will be supporting local people and businesses, instead of expiring and returning to government. A transfer can also benefit your business, as your unspent levy funds can:
- make SMEs in your supply chain more efficient and improve your own business performance
- increase skills in your sector and the future talent
- raise your profile in the local community by funding apprenticeships in charities and organisations that support your corporate social responsibility policy
If you are a business who would like to transfer up to 25% of your unused apprenticeship levy, please complete the contact form.
