From support to hire your first apprentice to inspiring young people to consider a career in your sector, we can help with free impartial support. 

Available skills and training support packages

  1. Enterprise West Yorkshire

    Fully funded to access mentoring, webinars and workshops to support people considering self-employment as a career option, those with a business idea and recently launched start-ups.

  2. Skills for Growth

    Skills for Growth is a free scheme that connects small and medium-sized business owners with the region's top talent. We'll link you to local schools, colleges and universities where you can access apprentices, graduates and interns that have been handpicked to meet your business needs.

  3. West Yorkshire Local Digital Skills Partnership

    This partnership provides a unique and exciting opportunity to influence the digital skills landscape across our region, including a range of digital skills training programmes to boost business productivity.

  4. Apprenticeship Support

    Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to shape your staff in way that’s best for them and best for your business. If you’re looking to take on an apprentice then support is available. If you’re a small or medium sized business based in Leeds City Region, we can help you find the best route to take on an apprentice.

  5. Apprenticeship Levy Support

    We’re here to help businesses and training providers work together to make a positive difference and ensure apprenticeship opportunities are available to people across Leeds City Region. This is a free transfer service which covers 100% of the training costs for apprentices. Businesses can still claim government grants for apprenticeships whilst accessing the levy.

  6. The Schools Partnership Team

    The School Partnership Team matches business volunteers to schools and colleges for strategic work, promotion of progression pathways after year 11 and utilises labour market information to raise the aspirations of young people in the Leeds City Region. Schools and colleges in our network belong to: Kirklees Career Hub, Special Education needs Careers Hub or members in the Enterprise Advisor Network.
