Support is available for businesses on their journey to net zero carbon emissions. We offer free consultancy advice, audits and access to funding to help your business become more resource-efficient, reduce waste and adopt sustainable ways for employees to travel to work.
We are working alongside the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and a wide range of partners to grow our region’s economy while also cutting carbon emissions to tackle climate change.
In the lead up to COP26, the 2021 edition of the United Nations annual climate change conference, we’re encouraging businesses in the region to commit to net zero and protect the planet. Net zero means that you are putting no more carbon into the atmosphere than you are taking out of it.
Whatever industry you’re in, your commitment could make a real difference – to your business, to your customers and to your running costs.
The following packages of support are available to help businesses reduce carbon emissions and tackle the climate emergency:
We offer free consultations and grants of up to £5,000 towards improvements to your on-site cycling facilities.
Travel Plan NetworkA free membership scheme for employers in West Yorkshire committed to encouraging employees to travel to work sustainably. Benefits include discounted business and rail travel, support for car-sharing and relocation support.
Resource EfficiencyA programme offering free efficiency audits and consultancy advice and up to 40% grant funding to help you have money, material resources and carbon.
