Resource efficiency and the circular economy
We can offer free efficiency audits and consultancy advice, hands-on business support, and up to 40% capital grant funding of up to £40,000 to help you save money, material resources and carbon.
If you want to lower your energy usage, reduce your water and waste costs and minimise your impact on the environment, we could help. The new REBiz programme provides advice and financial support for small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to become more resource efficient in the way they do business.
Continuing our clean growth support for businesses, through the REBiz programme, eligible businesses can receive advice and financial support to become more resource-efficient.
We are also able to support businesses to develop circular economy business models, helping you to keep products and materials in use, by design, for as long as possible to get the maximum value from them.
The support available includes:
- Free resource or energy efficiency audit worth up to £1,200
- 40% funding towards capital investment projects to a maximum £40,000 grant
- Free circular economy consultancy of up to 30 days intensive support
Between November 2016 and December 2019, the Resource Efficiency Fund supported over 700 small or medium-sized enterprises to help them to lower energy usage, reduce water and waste costs, and minimise their impact on the environment. We provided over 370 free resource efficiency audits and funded 160 projects to save businesses £663,000, 7.7million kWh of energy, and 2,422 tCO2 every year.
