Cannes premier for new Leeds City Region success story movie
Leeds City Region is premiering a film, Be Part of Our Success, showcasing the region’s approach to investment, ambitions for growth and success to date, in Cannes this week during the MIPIM international property and economic development conference.
Be Part of Our Success has been created with award winning creative company The City Talking, producers of The City Talking magazine and includes interviews with local authority Chief Executives from across the City Region. Following the premiere on Wednesday 12 March it will be used throughout the year to promote the City Region nationally and internationally in markets including North America, China and Europe to help further increase awareness of the opportunities in the region and ongoing investment.
Speaking as the trailer launched to the media, Roger Marsh OBE, Chair of Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) who appears in the film said: “Leeds City Region is home to a vibrant digital, media and creative community, with businesses here operating globally including Goal.com, the world’s leading football website and The City Talking, a Creative England 50 company. As such we wanted to bring some of this dynamism to our inward investment activity and MIPIM programme for 2018.
“I believe this film showcases achievements across the partnership, what is happening in the City Region and more importantly highlights that we are a location which is already delivering returns for investors and developers and growth for the businesses which have chosen to locate here. I look forward to showcasing this to the world at MIPIM and throughout 2018 when Leeds City Region raises its voice in unison to say ‘join us and become part of our success’.”
