
How the LEP helped Studio Print Press take on an intern
It was International Women’s Day this week so what better way to celebrate than to showcase two of West Yorkshire’s talented businesswomen.
Greeting card company in Harrogate draws in on support from the LEP Growth Service.
Harrogate based, Pigment Productions, designs and distributes innovative greeting cards to major supermarkets and small retailers across the UK and Ireland. It has a workforce of 55 people working across its designer base in Harrogate and warehouse and distribution centre in Ripon.
John McPartlan, Managing Director at Pigment Productions, first contacted the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growth Service as the company was reaching capacity in terms of production and distribution facilities.
The business was assigned a Growth Manager to offer coordinated support and help it understand the different business support offers available.
After completing a LEP grant application, Pigment Productions invested in the installation of a mezzanine space at the company’s warehouse allowing the business to increase production and distribution.
Working closely with Pigment Productions, their Growth Manager has been able to help the company access many other growth service products including:

Pigment Productions is currently renovating their building to create space to bring in more designers and has grown steadily to employ 10 new employees increasing their original workforce by 20%.
